Iceland’s favorite gay icon and king of pop Páll Óskar aka. Paul Oscar is now playing the part of Frank-N-Furter in the classic Rocky Horror Picture Show. In a new translation he is now a “sex genius” from the planet Transylvania were gender is non binary.

While Páll Óskar is ever popular in Iceland he is best known internationally by his legendary performance in the Eurovision Song contest back in 1997 with the sensual “Minn hinsti dans”.

The first thirty shows sold out immediately but there is still a chance to get tickets to the show before they go on summerbreak or after they start again this fall. Look for ticket available at www.borgarleikhus.is if you want to see the show in icelandic.

Here is a video of "Sweet Transvestite" from the Rocky Horror Show (Icelandic version). Performed by the cast and ensamble of Borgarleikhúsið City Theatre Reykjavík Iceland 2018. Produced by: SKOT Productions Directors: Samuel & Gunnar directors. Co Director and choreographer Lee Proud.

Páll Óskar played the same part when the musical was staged by his college MH back in 1991 and recently we got to see clips from the original 1991 production that had never been shown before publicly.
