Samtökin ‘78, The National Queer Organization, is an interest and an activist group. The organisation’s goal is for lesbian, gay, bisexual, pansexual and asexual and / or transsexual or intersex persons to be visible and recognised and enjoy their rights to the fullest in Icelandic society.
Samtökin ‘78 run a community centre in downtown Reykjavík, located on Suðurgata 3 and open for all. Open house on Thursday evenings, events are advertised on the organisation’s website; www.samtokin78.is or their Facebook page.
