October 20th is Purple day to honor the memory of the 7 American gay boys who recently committed suicide after being victims of homophobia. The Purple day is a day to stand up and show solidarity in the fight agains homophobia and show support to all those who are being bullied because they are somehow different. Tell your friends, family, co-workers, neighbours and schools and wear purple on October 20th. Join the event on Facebook. Listen to councilman Joel Burns tell gay teens "it gets better". If we all stand up and say NO to hate crimes things will get better.
