"We´ve never had so many guys coming from all over the world for BEARS ON ICE in our nine year history and we´re really excited about the whole thing" says Frosti Jónsson, who belongs to a small group of friends who organize Iceland´s only bear event, BEARS ON ICE. This is the ninth year for the event to take place in Reykjavik but BEARS ON ICE started as a small party back in 2005. For this year´s event well over 100 guys are coming from all over the world to celebrate life, mingle and make friends, see a little bit of Iceland and have some fun.
BEARS ON ICE starts on Thursday September 5th with a Welcome Party in Iðusalir (Lækjargata 2). Other activities include Golden Circle sight seeing tour on Friday and Top-Off party at Club Kiki (Laugavegur 22) Friday night, a visit to the geothermal Blue lagoon on Saturday and Men Only dance Saturday night at Harlem/Volta (Tryggvagata 22) with guest DJs Coling Gaff (Australia) and John Eltong (Copenhagen, Denmark) performing. The Dream Bears from London will also put on a little show but they will do a short stop over in Iceland to perform on their way from XL Weekend in Seattle. The event ends with a Sunday morning Farewell Brunch at Jómfrúin restaurant.
