If you´re in Reykjavik for Christmas keep in mind most restaurants and cafes will be closed on the 24th and 25th. So if you don't want to stack some food up in your hotel room check HERE for a fairly good list of places that are open in Reykjavik´s city center from 24th to 26th. Keep in mind some of those places require you to make a reservation in advance.
To your luck one of our our favorite spot in town, Babalu on Skólavörðustígur, will be open during the Christmas festive. On December 23 Babalu will open from 11am to midnight, on the 24th it´s open from 11 am to 6pm and on the 25th its open from 12 am to 11 pm. On New years eve Babalu is open from 11 am to 6 pm and on New Years day from 11 am to 11 pm.
