Rainbow Reykjavik has established itself as an important part of Reykjavik´s LGBT scene with events of all sorts taking place over a long weekend in February. The festival welcomes guests from all over the world to enjoy Iceland´s amazing nature, nightlife and northern lights. Highlight of the festival is Pink Iceland´s Pink Masquerade Party whith local and international performers & DJs.
Is it the most wonderful time of the year? Members of the Icelandic drag sensation Drag-Sugur will make sure it is by putting on their Xmas special show at Gaukurinn (Tryggvagata 22), December 21st. In the spirit of the holidays: All profits will be donated to Gaukurinn to make the venue wheelchair accessible. More information about the show and Drag-Sugur performers on their Facebook page. If you´re spening Christmas in Reykjavik, make sure you know which places (restaurants, shopping malls etc.) are open during holidays.
