Hinsegin dagar í Reykjavík – Reykjavík Gay Pride – announces its annual general meeting, which will be held March 7th 2009 at 14:00 in the Rainbow Room of the Queer Center, Laugavegur 3, 4th floor. The Gay Pride festivities in Reykjavík, organized by the board and pride committee of the organization, have been a marvellous success since 1999.

Candidates for this years election are kindly requested to contact the president of Reykjavík Gay Pride before March 2nd (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.). The electoral period is two years, and this year secretary, cashier and executive manager will be elected. A candidate’s eligibility requires having served as a member of the Gay Pride Commitee for at least one year prior to the election.
The Gay Pride festivities in Reykjavík, organized by the board and pride committee of the organization, have been a marvellous success since 1999. A huge, merry and colourful Gay Parade through the centre of town and a grand outdoor concert attended by over fifty thousand people - lesbians and gay men, friends, relatives, fellow citizens and numerous foreign visitors - showing solidarity with the gay cause on the second weekend of August.
