Next week (August 5th-9th) is full of adventures and long hours of fun. Gay Pride weekend kicks off with an early start Wednesday August 5th with Reykjavik's most entertaining competition, the Icelandic Drag Contest which takes place at the Icelandic Opera.
Thursday August 6th at noon the official Pride Club opens at Club BARBARA for those who simply cannot wait for all the fun to start and 8 pm in the evening the Gay Pride Opening ceremony hosted by Viggo and Violetta opens Reykjavik Gay Pride formally.
The weekend is packed with fun things to do. Variety of local and visiting artists are to perform all weekend but the event´s highlight is ofcourse the Saturday parade and outdoor concert in Reykjavik´s city center.
