The Hump Day Social is a monthly social event for gay men to meet up and enjoy the company of others in the community. On one Wednesday (or hump day) an event will be planned from 7:00pm-10:00pm.
The location changes each month and will be posted on this group page. The bar/lounge has worked with us to create these events. Be kind. Most will offer happy hour prices and create a signature drink for the event. This group is inclusive of: age 20 and up, alcohol and non-alcohol drinkers, singles, couples (open and closed), poly-friendly, bdsm-friendly... really you just need to identify as gay. :-) The hope is to create a positive space for gay men to get over the hump of the week and raise a glass with each other.
The next event is on the 28th of August when the speakeasy bar Tölt at The Reykjavik EDITION will welcome us with a short list of selected drinks, cocktails, and cheers.
There are usually as many english speaking as icelandic speaking and a very welcoming group of men so join in.
And on August 29th the annual Reykjavik Bear events starts and early arrivals are very welcome to join in.
This event has been running since 2017 here in Reykjavík.
