Reykjavík Pride – Hinsegin dagar – returns in full force from August 5th to 10th, 2025, ready to fill the capital with rainbow colors, love, and with a powerful program that welcomes everyone — members of the LGBTQIA+ community and allies alike. Pictured above are the volunteers on the board of Reykjavik Pride with Sanna Magdalena from Reykjavik City Councel on the left.
One of the major highlights of the festival is, of course, the Pride Parade – Gleðigangan – taking place on Saturday, August 9th at 2 PM. The parade marches from Hallgrímskirkja down to Hljómskálagarður Park, where a lively and family-friendly outdoor concert will follow, featuring great performers and a joyful atmosphere.
Throughout the week, a wide variety of events will take place across the city, including an opening ceremony, art exhibitions, talks, drag shows, family programming, and a nightlife scene like no other. Special events such as Youth Pride for young people and LGBTQ+ happenings in Reykjavík’s bars and cultural venues ensure that there's something for everyone to enjoy.
