Reykjavik Gay Pride is just around the corner with number of events taking place all around Reykjavik for full five days. The official pride program runs from Tuesday (August 5th) through Sunday (August 10th) and offers diversity of events such as documentaries, lectures, Diving Divas, walk around Reykjavik´s Botanic Garden, concerts, Queer Cruise, dance parties and last but certainly not least a colorful parade.

Reykjavik Gay Pride Program guide is now available. We´re expecting lots of fun for this year´s pride with local and international artists performing. The opening ceremony kicks off Thursday August 7th at Harpa Concert Hall (city center) with the one and only Willam (William Belli) performing who´s well known by many for his participation in RuPaul´s Drag Race as well as some of Iceland´s best known performers including the Icelandic gay icon Paul Oscar.

The Icelandic Drag Competition celebrates its eighteenth anniversary this year and will crown its Drag Queen and the Drag King of Iceland Wednesday August 6th at Harpa. Ticket price is ISK 2.800 and available at harpa.is. This year´s host is the Icelandic comedian Þorsteinn Guðmundsson so get ready for good laughs and lots of fun. This year´s theme is „On the cover of the DraggingStones“. 

We're half way through July and it's getting closer and closer to one of Iceland's biggest festival and definitely the most colorful of them all, Reykjavik Gay Pride.
