On the weekend of 28-29 July there will be a Pride festival in Hrísey with a packed program. Mostly in Icelandic but you can still enjoy the festivities.
The festivities start on Friday with a showing of the musical Góðan daginn Faggi flollowed by a Pub Quiz.
On Saturday the Samtökin ‘78 – the National Queer Association of Iceland will start the program with their educational program, followed by a Parade of tractors and entertainment on stage after. There will be a pool party, drag queen story hour for the kids with Starina, music themed Bingo, Lady Zadude Drag Queen of Iceland 2022 and DJ Siggi Gunnars.
