The International Gay and Lesbian Aquatics will take place in Reykjavik from May 29th to June 2nd 2012. The event is expected to LGBT athletes from all over the world and is expected to be one of the biggest Aquatic sport event to be held in Iceland. The event is organized by the local LGBT sport organization Styrmir which is dedicated to the cause of encouraging gay men and lesbians to participate in sports and Pink Iceland, Iceland´s first LGBT travel agency. The City of Reykjavik, Inspired by Iceland (Promote Iceland) and the Icelandic Swimming Association are all proud sponsors of The International Gay and Lesbian Aquatics.
