Friðrik Ómar

The official Reykjavik Gay pride 2010 song, Dáinn úr ást, is out, written by Örlygur Smári and Friðrik Ómar and performed by Friðrik Ómar who one of Iceland´s most beloved gay artist. Friðrik Ómar has worked with many of the most succesful artists in Iceland, participated in many popular music shows in Iceland, worked with some of Iceland’s best known singers and fronted several bands. Friðrik has recorded two successful albums that reached gold status and one that was a certified platinum album. Friðrik Ómar is the other half of the duo Euroband which represented Iceland in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2008.   Read more ...

Gay Pride Program Guide

The Reykjavik Gay Pride Magazine and Program Guide is out and is also available online. The Program Guide includes information about the event and performing artist in Icelandic as well as in English. It is also possible to get a free copy at the Pride service center which is located inside bookstore Ida in Laekjargata (city center) as well as in hotels around town, bars and restaurants. The dates for Reykajvik Gay Pride are August 5th to 9th.

Live piano karaoke at Barbara

On Thursday, July 15th, Viggo and Violetta will host al a live piano karaoke evening at Barbara!  Everyone can come and sing their favorite musical hit. Viggo and Violetta will have a piano player at your disposal and he can play anything you want. Bring sheet music or just lyrics - but be sure that at least you know the song. Come and make the crowds to insane with your talent. Admission only ISK 1.000.-

Reykjavik Pride Center to open

Reykjavik Gay Pride 

The Reykjavik Pride service center opens Saturday 17th of July and is located inside bookstore Ida in Laekjargata (city center). The Pride center is open all days from 11 am to 8 pm. At the Pride Center you’ll find everything you need for the coming up Pride such as T-shirts and tickets to individual events. Those who have reserved VIP passes for the whole event can pick it up there as well.
