Hinsegin dagar í Reykjavík – Reykjavík Gay Pride – announces its annual general meeting, which will be held March 7th 2009 at 14:00 in the Rainbow Room of the Queer Center, Laugavegur 3, 4th floor. The Gay Pride festivities in Reykjavík, organized by the board and pride committee of the organization,  have been a marvellous success since 1999.

Mrs. Johanna Sigurdardottir is the world’s first openly gay prime minister leading a newly formed government after a conservative-led government for 2 years recently failed. Mrs, Sigurðardóttir, a former flight attendant and union organizer,  has a successful carrier in politics for over 30 years.

The Justin Fashanu All Star, the Leftfooters, Pan, Radballer, London Titans, a team from Hamburg are among teams playing at the international gay football tournament in Iceland April 9th - 12th.

Q stands for queer but it’s also the name of the Queer Student’s Organization in Iceland which is celebrating it´s 10 year anniversary this year.
